Ahmad Al-Dahle is the Chief Technology Officer at Airbnb, where he leads the company’s technology strategy and oversees its global engineering and data science teams. He is responsible for building and scaling Airbnb’s technology platform and advancing the company’s work in AI across its products, services, and internal systems.

Prior to Airbnb, Ahmad led Generative AI at Meta, where he oversaw the team behind Llama, spanning research, model development, and product integration. Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years at Apple, where he contributed to the development of the original iPhone and led work in autonomous systems.

Across his career, Ahmad has focused on translating cutting-edge technology into intuitive, consumer-facing products used at global scale.

He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and is based in San Francisco.
